Get Protected and Give!
Get protected and give!
All frontline health and social care workers are eligible for the flu and COVID-19 vaccinations this winter. Non-frontline HSCW will qualify for a COVID jab if you meet the criteria, but all of you qualify for a flu jab.
These vaccinations help protect you, your families and those that you care for from falling ill and transmitting these horrible viruses or developing serious complications to pre-existing long term conditions.
If this weren’t motivation enough, by getting vaccinated this year you can also help local charities. As a thank you for looking after your health and the health of others, a fixed donation of up to £1000 will be made by NHS Frimley to Together As One (other system partners are donating similar amounts to their chosen charities).
So, let’s all get protected and give! If you fall into any of these categories you are eligible to be vaccinated:
- Frontline health and social care staff
- People aged 65 and over
- Those in a clinical risk group
- Those who care for vulnerable individuals
- Families of individuals with weakened immune systems
If you don’t fall into any of the above categories you will not currently be able to get a COVID vaccination this year. If you do, click here to book your COVID-19 vaccination today or call 119.
HURRY! The core phase of the COVID-19 vaccination programme ends 15 December 2023 when the National Booking System will close.
If you don’t fall into any of the above categories and are a non-frontline health and social care worker, you can receive a flu vaccination from your GP practice or local pharmacy until the end of March 2024 and claim back the cost on expenses (ICB staff only - check your own organisational policy for flu jabs).
