Making blood pressure testing more accessible
A new blood pressure testing kiosk has been launched in The Square shopping centre in Camberley, in the main square, for anyone over the age of 16 to use.
Just pop in and check your blood pressure, with a minimum of fuss – no appointment needed.
The health kiosk also provides a print-out of the measurement which can be taken to your GP practice so the measurement can be recorded in your notes and action taken if the measurement shows a higher-than-normal blood pressure.
The health kiosk will be in the main square of the centre for the next three months. Guidance on how to use the kiosk is provided, the instructions are easy to follow, and centre staff are nearby if you need help.
The kiosk is the latest easy access self-care option provided for residents of Surrey Heath. There are already blood pressure monitors available for loan at libraries in Camberley, Frimley Green, Lightwater and Ash, if you need to monitor your blood pressure for a number of days for your GP practice.
