Carers' Week 2024
Monday, 10th June to Sunday, 16th June is Carers' Week 2024 - a time to recognise and raise awareness about carers and the huge amount they do for others.
The theme of Carers' Week this year is Putting Carers on the Map.
An estimated 5.7 million people nationwide are unpaid carers for family members or friends who would not be able to manage without them.
Despite the number of carers, many of them feel their role is forgotten and invisible. Not only that, carers need to be supported because the caring burden they take on can have a serious impact on their own physical and mental health and wellbeing.
This Carers' Week, Frimley Health and Care is launching its new Carers' section of this website. The section, which you'll be able to find here from Monday, 10th June, has information to help people identify themselves as a carer and to formally register as a carer with their GP, as well as sources of support and advice, whether you live in East Berkshire, Hampshire or Surrey.
