Introducing the Frimley Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Health Partnership Alliance

The Frimley Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Alliance is hosting its online launch event on Tuesday 16 July 10.00am-12.00 Noon and inviting representatives of charities, community groups, social enterprises and faith groups undertaking community work within the geographical footprint of Frimley Integrated Care System to attend.

The ambition of the VCSE alliance is to establish the VCSE sector as an equal health and care partner in co-producing and shaping strategies, plans and services to deliver improved health and wellbeing for populations, delivering solutions to reducing inequalities.

Frimley’s VCSE sector is incredibly skilled at delivering projects and services at neighbourhood level, often with marginalised communities which statutory services are unable to reach or engage with despite their efforts to do so, making best use of limited resources.

There is a wealth of activity which not only collectively improves the health and wellbeing of residents but which also supports the wider system to deliver its strategic and operational objectives. It builds on community assets by delivering services close to home, agilely responding to an identified need and helping to shift the dynamic of health care from passive recipients to empowered individuals who have been supported to take ownership for their own health and wellbeing.

It is our hope that the VCSE Alliance will provide a “front door” for communication, engagement and reach into VCSE organisations through a membership model, advocating on behalf of the sector and facilitating greater collaborative partnership working and clear communication channels. This will enhance the value the sector can bring by providing an informed voice and enabling both large and small voluntary organisations to bring their experiences and have their voice heard.

Membership to the Alliance is open to individuals representing organisations as described above. Registered members are able to choose their preferred level of activity which can range from attending meetings, being part of one of our emerging sub-groups or simply receiving e-bulletin updates.

If you represent, work alongside, or know of a charity, faith group, community group or social enterprise which is either based in, or delivers services within, the geographical footprint of Frimley Integrated Care System, no matter whether small, medium or large, or maybe only just starting out - share this opportunity with them as we want to hear from them.
