Frimley Health and Care Launches WorkWell to Support Health and Employment
Frimley Health and Care is pleased to introduce WorkWell, a UK Government-funded initiative designed to help individuals with health conditions or disabilities start, stay in or return to work. In partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions and the Department of Health and Social Care, WorkWell supports people facing health-related barriers to employment.
Currently available in Slough, North East Hampshire, Farnham, and Surrey Heath, WorkWell offers early intervention and light-touch support to individuals aged 16 and over.
Who is Eligible?
WorkWell is for anyone who:
- Is aged 16 or over, lives in or is registered with a GP within the eligible areas and has the right to work in the UK.
- Is facing health-related challenges that affect their ability to start, stay in, or return to work.
- Is in work but needs support to stay employed or return after sickness.
- Has been out of work for up to six months and requires early intervention.
- Is at risk of becoming unemployed due to conditions such as mental health issues, musculoskeletal problems, or other health concerns.
WorkWell also provides tailored support for those needing more complex assistance or longer-term services to help them return to work.
Referrals can be made by GPs, health and social care providers, voluntary organisations, or through self-referral.
How It Works
Once registered, participants receive personalised support from a dedicated WorkWell coach, who can assist with work-related challenges, employability skills, and managing health conditions. In addition to direct coaching, participants will be connected with local services and can access general guidance and information to support their health and employment needs.
