Make kindness the norm
Being kind to people makes us feel good, it reduces our stress levels and boosts our mental health and emotional wellbeing.
That’s why, this Random Acts of Kindness Day (today, Monday, 17 February) we are reminding you how thoughtful gestures can spark joy, inspire change and create a lasting impact. Let’s celebrate the day by embracing kindness as a daily habit and a way of life.
Ways that you can make kindness the norm:
- Start small: Incorporate simple acts of kindness into your daily routine, like offering compliments, holding the door open, or lending a helping hand.
- Model kindness: Be an example for others, especially children, by showing kindness in your words and actions.
- Amplify it: Share stories of kindness to inspire others and spread positivity.
- Create systems: Advocate for policies and practices—in schools, workplaces, and communities—that encourage and reward kindness.
The Random Act of Kindness Foundation has created a short video featuring Norm who found that change can start with the smallest thing.
