Support for people with alcohol misuse/dependency

If you're concerned about someone's drinking, it's crucial to approach the situation with care.

Consider expressing your concern, using "I" statements to avoid sounding accusatory ("I've noticed..." rather than "You always..."). Encourage open communication and offer support without judgment. If the person is unwilling to acknowledge or address the issue, help is available. There's specific information here on how to approach a conversation with someone who may have a drink or drug problem.

You’ll find below links to support for both those with alcohol dependency, as well as for people people trying to help others.
